Tri-County Electric Cooperative strives to give back to its communities each and every day, working collaboratively with community leaders and citizens to make decisions that better the lives of our membership. Electric cooperatives as a whole were formed based on seven principles, the seventh of which is “Concern for Community.” From grants to non-profit organizations to community volunteerism, Tri-County takes the seventh cooperative principle very seriously.
Most recently we worked collaboratively with the Schuyler County Ambulance District to install a helicopter pad behind Tri-County Electric’s headquarters in Lancaster. Prior to this project, not a single helipad existed in the county. Tri-County’s central location and available space made the selection a perfect place for the pad. Working in coordination with the local Air Evac team, Tri-County donated the concrete to make this project come to fruition.
“It is our hope that this project will further enhance our commitment to the communities Tri-County serves,” state Mike Sheib, General Manager. “A new helipad was desperately needed and we were grateful to be included in making this a reality for our members and county.”
