Tri-County Electric announces the departure of our respected leader, CEO Michael “Mike” Scheib, who will begin a new chapter as CEO of North Central Electric Cooperative in early 2026. During his tenure, Mike strengthened the co-op’s financial position, guided improvements, and championed forward-looking investments to meet the evolving energy needs of rural Missouri. He helped position Tri-County for a future that balances reliability, affordability, and innovation. Mike built trusted relationships with employees, directors, community partners, and members, always seeking practical solutions rooted in our cooperative principles.

Beyond strategy and operations, he encouraged teamwork and cultivated a culture grounded in integrity, accountability, and service. He supported staff development, celebrated successes, and navigated challenges with calm, thoughtful leadership. His presence has been a steadying force during years of change in our industry.

While we will deeply miss Mike’s leadership, we are grateful for the strong foundation he leaves behind. His influence will continue to shape Tri-County Electric for years to come.
