As a member of Tri-County Electric Cooperative Association you are part owner of the cooperative and share in margins (profits) earned. Your share is returned to you in the form of a "capital credit check" if you are a former member, or in the form of a bill credit if you are still a member.

Because you were a member of the electric cooperative and purchased power in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2006, 2007, and 2008 you can be entitled to a portion of the refunded amount as authorized by our Board of Directors. Please look for more information on your next billing statement.

If you are claiming capital credits for a deceased member, please contact the office at 660-457-3733 or 888-457-3734 to see if you qualify for early payout of available margins.
