Tri-County Electric Manager of Communications Recognized as Truman State University’s ECHO 25

Lancaster, MO (September 2023)—Stephanie Mills, Manager of Communication and Member Services, and Economic Development was honored September 15 as a recipient of The Echo 25. Mills graduated from Truman State University in 2007 with a B.A. in Communication and in 2010 with a Masters of Elementary Education. Originally from Jefferson City, MO, Mills has become a strong and passionate advocate for the Northeast Missouri region and her community.

The Echo 25 features 25 exceptional alumni under the age of 40. Candidates for the award must have earned an undergraduate or graduate degree from Truman State University and be under the age of 40 by the announcement of winners in September 2023. Recipients of The Echo 25 will be selected based on the ways they live out Truman’s characteristics of graduates. Truman graduates are creative, socially responsible leaders and engaged world citizens. They are responsible, informed and compassionate. They have the characteristics that enable them to be active, successful participants in their worlds.

Mills is a dedicated and creative individual deeply committed to her community in Northeast Missouri. She believes in the power of building relationships and forging partnerships, which is evident in her numerous roles within her community. Stephanie currently serves as the President of the Kirksville Area Chamber of Commerce, a Board Member of the United Way of Northeast Missouri, a member of NECAR (Northeast Central Association of Realtors), and proudly holds the title of President and Co-Founder of Fairy Godmother, INC, a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving 20 counties in Northeast Missouri.

She’s really an asset at Tri-County Electric, a true leader. She has a genuine concern for the communities we serve and she is dedicated and passionate which is evident in the work she turns out.
